Let’s start from scratch looking at the iMac hardware specs: it will be useful to proper identify hardware peripherals and choose the right software and drivers for our beast!

Here is what I gathered from Internet about my 24″ Aluminium iMac (Mid 2007 – MA878LL):

From what I have seen over the Internet all the components are more or less supported both in Vista and Linux.
