iDebian has started on March 2008.

The idea behind iDebian arose from the consideration that we all have to face with similar problems daily: a trick that I had found two months ago on a specific issue could be useful tomorrow to another user (or myself as well). As a such, collection of the different tips and tricks exploited become “a must” and hence this is where iDebian fits…

The main site’s purpose is to collect tips and tricks to run Debian GNU/Linux on iMAC hardware and since most of the Intel MAC (iMAC and MacBook) share the same hardware architecture and configuration I wish these hints could be useful also for other Apple users who like Linux.

A big part of the posts will be specifically dedicated to the Debian Linux distribution and its own specific implementation and configuration, so, again, I expect these contents could be useful not only to Mac users but to the wide Debian (and its derivatives, i.e. Ubuntu) community.

Since we are going to set-up and use a triple boot system on iMac, a small post’s portion will address also Windows Vista configuration and usage.

Basically … we are going to deal with whatever I like related to iMac, Debian, Linux and other issues with no restrictions at all šŸ˜›

If you like to discuss specific topics, just let me know.

Last, but not least, even if we are not going to manage a thermonuclear plant, some of the iDebian contents could make your system unbootable/unusable, so please have a look at the Disclaimer page before doing anything šŸ˜‰

Stay tuned for updates …
